The Aviation Maintenance Technician Handbook–Airframe Volume 2 (FAA-H-8083-31A) was developed as one of five handbooks for persons preparing for mechanic certification with airframe or powerplant ratings, or both. This handbook will provide basic information on principles, fundamentals, and technical procedures in the subject matter areas common to both the airframe rating. This book was superseded by FAA-H-8083-31B.
